Vitestro secures $22M to advance medical technology

Vitestro, an Utrecht-based autonomous blood drawing company, has raised $22M in funding.

The round was led by Sonder Capital and NYBC Ventures, with participation from Invest-NL, the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund), and existing private investors.

The funds will be used to expand the team and develop additional features for its robotic blood drawing device, addressing growing market demand.

Founded in 2017, Vitestro aims to improve the blood draw experience through AI, advanced imaging, and robotics, with multiple devices pre-ordered by European hospitals. The company is also conducting the A.D.O.P.T. trial and aims to achieve CE approval by the end of 2024.
