Trace Machina, a San Francisco-based AI simulation startup, has secured $4.7M in Seed funding.

The funding round was spearheaded by Wellington Management, with participation from Samsung Next, Sequoia Capital Scout Fund, Green Bay Ventures, and Verissimo Ventures. Angel investors included Clem Delangue, Mitch Wainer, and Gert Lackriet, among others.

The funds will be used to enhance product development and expand Trace Machina's operations. Led by CEO Marcus Eagan, the company is focused on developing safer simulation infrastructure for physical-world AI applications, including autonomous vehicles and robotics.

Their flagship product, NativeLink, offers an advanced staging environment for safety-critical technologies. The team includes experts from Apple, Google, MongoDB, and Toyota Research Institute.
