Somite, a Boston-based AI developer for stem cell biology, raised $5.3M in Pre-Seed funding.

The round was led by TechAviv, with participation from Next Coast Ventures, Trust Ventures, Texas Venture Partners, and Lerer Hippeau.

The funds will advance Somite's AlphaStem AI platform for producing human tissue at scale, targeting diseases like diabetes and muscular dystrophies.

Led by CEO Micha Breakstone, Somite is pioneering a digital twin of the embryo to revolutionize cell therapy development.
