Signapse, a Guildford, UK-based Generative AI Sign Language translation company, raised £2M in seed funding.

Soulmates Ventures and Deeptech Seed Fund led the round, with participation from the Royal Association for Deaf people, Empirical Ventures, CEAS Investments, and The FSE Group. Innovate UK contributed £500k.

The funds will be used to enhance product development and expand market reach, says CEO Sally Chalk. CTO Ben Saunders highlights the aim to improve accessibility for the Deaf community.

Signapse has successfully delivered 5,000 BSL train announcements daily and over 4,000 manual BSL translations, serving transport companies like LNER Train Stations in the UK and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in the USA.
