PeerDB, a San Francisco-based data movement platform for PostgreSQL, raised $3.6M in Seed funding.

The round was led by 8VC, with participation from Y Combinator, Wayfinder Ventures, Webb Investment Network, and more. PeerDB will use the funds to bolster its engineering team and enhance its market and client acquisition strategies.

The company, headed by CEO Sai Krishna Srirampur and CTO Kaushik Iska, focuses on optimizing data transfers between PostgreSQL and various data storage solutions, leading to time and cost efficiencies as well as improved data quality and AI insights.

Customers include Harmonic AI, Expedock, Fiber AI, and Flatiron Health.
