Opmed.ai lands $15M Series A funding

Opmed.ai, a Boston, MA-based AI healthcare optimization platform, raised $15M in Series A funding.

The round was led by NFX and Grove Ventures, with participation from Secret Chord Ventures, Sir Ronald Cohen, and Unbox Ventures. The funds are earmarked for expanding operations and development efforts.

Co-founded by Dr. Mor Brokman Meltzer, Avi Paz, and Prof. Baruch Barzel, Opmed.ai leverages AI and network science to optimize healthcare resource allocation, primarily in operating rooms. The system analyzes complex healthcare data to improve scheduling and efficiency, significantly increasing revenue and reducing costs for hospitals.

Already in use at notable hospitals in the US and Israel, including Mayo Clinic, Opmed.ai aims to address staff shortages and enhance operational performance. "Our mission is to support hospitals grappling with staff shortages and other critical issues," commented Dr. Mor Brokman Meltzer.
