Mermaid Chart, a San Francisco-based startup offering text-based diagramming and workflow management tools, raised $7.5M in Seed funding for its visual productivity platform.

The funding round was led by Microsoft's M12 and Sequoia Capital, with participation from Open Core Ventures, Streamlined Ventures, Good Friends Capital, V1 VC, and others. The funds will be used to enhance Mermaid's visual tools and expand its team.

Notable investors include Sid Sibrandij (CEO, GitLab), Dave Gilboa (Co-Founder, Warby Parker), and Benny Joseph (Chief Technology, Allbirds). Mermaid Chart aims to simplify diagramming and workflow visualization for development teams and enterprises.
