Lexverify, a Birmingham-based LegalTech startup, has raised £900K in Seed funding.

The round was led by Midven, part of the Future Planet Capital Group, with contributions from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, Raspberry Ventures, The LegalTech Fund, and several angel investors.

Lexverify will use the funds to expand its team, supporting its growth after successful pilots in the financial services and pharmaceutical sectors.

Founded by Cristian Gherhes, Lexverify aims to prevent legal, compliance, and cyber risks in real-time through its AI-powered assistant, leveraging natural language processing (NLP) to enhance proactive compliance.

The technology continuously monitors electronic communications, identifying potential risks in areas such as competition law, financial sanctions, and GDPR, thus minimizing exposure and offering ongoing employee training.
