Letta secures $10M in seed funding

Letta, a San Francisco-based generative AI startup, raised $10M in seed funding.

The round was led by Felicis, with participation from Sunflower Capital, Essence VC, and notable angels like Jeff Dean and Clem Delangue. The funds will be used for building Letta Cloud, enabling developers to deploy agents with advanced memory systems.

Letta plans to offer Letta Cloud's hosted agent service, which is model agnostic, letting developers run agents on multiple LLM providers. Additionally, their Agent Development Environment offers transparency in agent development.

Founded by Charles Packer and Sarah Wooders, Letta emerges with strong academic backing from UC Berkeley advisors Joseph Gonzalez and Ion Stoica.
