Ikerian AG, a Bern-based healthcare AI company, raised $6.18M in Series A extension funding.

The round was led by Topcon Healthcare's venture arm, with participation from Zürcher Kantonalbank and existing investors like btov Industrial Technologies, Verve Ventures, and private backers.

The funds will support the development and rollout of RetinAI Discovery® in ophthalmology and optometry, and facilitate expansion into neurodegenerative and vascular conditions as well as rare diseases.

CEO Dr. Carlos Ciller highlighted that this investment will expedite their AI technology development to enhance clinical and pharmaceutical workflows.
