Frate, a retail returns automation platform based in Toronto, raised CAD$3.6M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Matchstick Ventures, with support from 2048 Ventures, Whitecap Venture Partners, Closed Loop Venture Partners, and BeSer Ventures.

Frate plans to use the funds to expand their operations and further develop their platform.

Led by CEO Bailey Newton and CTO Yenn Lei, Frate aims to reduce return volumes and address return fraud with features like personalized exchange recommendations and AI-powered assessments.

Serving clients including Arezzo&Co, Peace Collective, Honey, Canada Pooch, and Felina, Frate's total funding has now reached CAD$5.7M.
