Dropzone AI bags $16.85M in Series A round

Dropzone AI, a Seattle-based AI security analyst developer, raised $16.85M in Series A funding.

The round, led by Theory Ventures, saw participation from Decibel Partners, Pioneer Square Ventures, and In-Q-Tel (IQT). Notable individuals such as Garrett Held, Joshua Scott, and Anshu Gupta also joined.

The funds will help Dropzone AI scale its GTM motion and engineering team efforts. The company, led by CEO Edward Wu, offers AI analysts that assist human security teams by investigating alerts around the clock, enhancing productivity.

"Dropzone AI provides defenders with AI reinforcements for routine tasks, allowing SecOps teams to focus on high-priority threats," commented Wu.
