AminoChain secures $5M seed funding

AminoChain, a blockchain platform for medical institutions based in New York, raised $5M in seed funding.

Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with participation from Cercano. The funds will aid in expanding operations and development efforts.

Founded by Caspar Barnes, AminoChain links global inventories of bio-samples and research data, driving pre-clinical research economies.

The platform's first application, the Specimen Center, connects biobanks, enhancing decentralized clinical recruitment and trial management.
