Accenture acquires Udacity in strategic move

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has acquired Udacity, a digital education company specializing in tech courses. The deal's amount remains undisclosed.

The acquisition, adding over 230 employees, enhances Accenture’s LearnVantage business—an initiative aimed at connecting online education with workplace relevance. Udacity's vast library and network of 1,400 experts will bolster Accenture’s global skills training capabilities.

With this move, Accenture aims to further bridge the gap between current technological demands and workforce skills, helping clients achieve their business objectives while fostering continual employee development.

Founded in 2011, Udacity has empowered over 21 million learners in 195 countries, offering courses in multiple languages including English, Arabic, Korean, and Spanish.
